Natasha Bedingfield Concert

We saw an awesome concert last night at the Fillmore: Natasha Bedingfield with guests The Veronicas and Kate Voegele. I love Natasha because her songs are positive and relatable and right on! When I saw she was at the Fillmore, I bought up the tickets before I even knew Greg and I were free the night of July 10th. Later, I found out that Kate Voegele and The Veronicas were opening for them - I knew of their names but didn't really know their music, but I'm open and if they've been around in the industry, then they must be pretty decent.

Decent?! - they were all awesome! Kate has some great vocal talent, and her album does not show off her naturally good voice as it is impossible for her to sing out of tune. Somehow live, she is more raw and more true to what she is saying in her songs, and her stylings with her voice is true talent. Go Kate!

Then, The Veronicas came out, these petite Australian twins with voices that were harmonic in the way only twin sisters could be, voices that were crisp and clear yet had an edge of rock and deviousness without overplaying it and without overshadowing their femininity. I hadn't really heard of their songs before last night, but now I am definitely hooked! They have a very unique sound that is catchy and just grabs you in. And their drummer from Chicago was just awesome! - he had his drums and cymbals perfectly placed so that he could bang it out in front of him and acrobatically all around him in all directions so he could get such pace in his beats that brought you to your feet. Man!

They dismantled parts of the set to make way for Natasha Bedingfield, and although we were thoroughly entertained by the opening acts, Natasha was well worth the wait. Her voice sounds just like she does on her albums, pure and raw as she belted out her tunes from her two albums. Greg and I were sitting up in the balconies (we're too old to be standing on the floor with the young-ins), but I couldn't help it but to get up and sing with Natasha at the top of my lungs while dancing around - I didn't care who saw me because I was loving it!! Thank you!!
